PDA Crew
TALENTED & DEDICATED PRODUCTION DESIGN ENGINEERS
The key to our success is that we love what we do. Talk to our techs or project managers, and you will see them light up (literally) when talking about apertures, lumens and watts. We eat and breathe this stuff and we love nothing more than when we share one of our stages, lighting or designs with an audience.

President
Jeff Nickles
Jeff started PDA in 1991 in a small garage with a handful of lights. He began his lighting career at the age of 14, lighting his parent’s house for Halloween. Since then, he has since lit bridges, aircraft carriers, Presidents and hundreds of events. Jeff has lived in Charleston his entire life and he can’t imagine being anywhere else. He enjoys boating, traveling to remote places, and shooting fireworks with his family when he’s not working. He still lights his house up for Halloween every year.

General Manager
Vicki Marsi

Equipment/Facilities Manager
Tom Rothbauer
Tom started at PDA in 1998 but he’s lived in Charleston since 1981 when he was in the Navy as a Missile Technician onboard submarines specializing in electronic, electro-mechanical and hydraulic & pneumatic systems. Tom has also been a DJ for over 30 years which came in handy at PDA since he has designed and installed numerous high profile A/V Systems in well-known clubs. Tom has also completed Repair Certification Programs from Martin Lighting, Jem Smoke Machine and Pioneer as a factory authorized repair technician. We’re assuming not many people can say that!
Senior Project Manager
Jeff Sanders
Jeff has worn many hats in his many years at PDA but always keeps in mind that customer service is job #1 (if you’re a customer reading this now, how can I help you?). He enjoys live music and long walks on the beach, in no particular order. He has by far the worst selection of music on his iPod and punishes his fellow workers by singing to it at full volume. He has used his many jobs at PDA to turn himself into a well-rounded and proficient project manager.

Lead Technician
Alex Sartin
Alex is one of PDA’s Lead Technician with a specialty in all things audio. He has a great deal of experience handling large and small shows for corporate, hotel and private events. When not tinkering with consoles or subwoofers, or working as a lighting or video technician (he’s an all-around!), Alex spends time with his wife and children.

Lead Technician
