Family Circle Cup

Another Family Circle Cup has come and gone, and PDA was there in full force again this year!

We provided stages, truss structures, lighting as well as production support for all of the off-site VIP parties. The PDA video team was also there to capture all the action, creating vignettes for the jumbotron and filming the tennis and fans for next year’s commercial.

Check out a few photos we snapped along the way, as well as some of the videos produced!

Charleston Wine + Food Festival

PDA’s video crew was thrilled to once again work with the BB&T Charleston Wine and Food Festival in 2013.

We were onsite at dozens of events throughout the weekend capturing footage and producing interviews for our editorial team to craft into Daily Recaps.  We are also thankful for the opportunity to create a tribute video for Southern Culinary legend Frank Stitt who was honored at this year’s festival.

From the Waffle House Smackdown event to the Festival After Hours Party to the Final BBQ celebration, our team was there covering all the happenings.

This was also PDA’s 8th year as the main production vendor for the festival and we provided all of the sound, lighting, video and staging for the Piggly Wiggly and Jet Blue Grand Tasting tents, SCE&G Celebrity Kitchen and the Southern Foodways Alliance Culinary Hub.  Our big hit was the silverware projected on the walkway to the SC Aquarium for the opening night event and the 40′ tall poster we projected on the front of the building.

And for energy and the love of food – over 40 boxes of Girl Scout cookies were eaten by the PDA crew throughout the week.

Half-Moon Outfitters

In calendar year 2013, we will be covering each event in the Half-Moon Outfitters race series, taking us outdoors and into the beautiful landscapes of Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Athens.

When not on the trail, our cameras will be recording intimate live, acoustic performances produced in Half-Moon’s flagship store. After filming the likes of Warren Haynes, the Infamous Stringdusters, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Matisyahu, among others, just last year, we can’t wait to see who performs next.

Stay tuned for a sit down with rock climbing legends Alex Honnold and Chris Sharma. New in 2013 will be our product reviews filmed on location at Half-Moon’s LEED certified headquarters/warehouse in North Charleston…it’s going to be fun to get recommendations on  the latest in outdoor adventure gear directly from expert Half-Moon staff members.

Finally, we will continue our “Beat The Drum” customer service web series featuring Half-Moon Outfitters’ owner Beezer Molten and the biggest names in the outdoor industry.

Onward!

PDA Video Adds Director of Photography

Meet PDA’s newest team member, Keith Bradshaw. Keith joins PDA as its director of photography.

Keith is a truly a jack of all trades….well a Keith of all trades. Before starting at PDA Keith operated a recording studio, worked as a fine art photographer and played guitar in a reputed band (he also shot video for us as a freelancer). When asked why he wanted to leave the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle and work for us full time, he explained that combining photography and music with video has given him a new life of creative output.  This move was a natural progression in his career.  Keith brings an extensive inventory of incredible gear and an amazing eye; this combination insures that we produce artfully crafted videos for our customers.

So what does this new service include you ask?
