For the second year in a row PDA won the bid to provide production support for the College of Charleston’s Undergraduate and Graduate School commencement. PDA project manager Chris Rucker and a crew of 10 techs set up sound systems and video equipment in the Cistern Yard and throughout the campus so all interested parties could watch the big day. College of Charleston has one of the most unique graduation ceremonies, and PDA was honored to join in on the historic event!
On Thursday, May 2nd, our crew worked with the Gibbes Museum of Art on their annual celebration ‘Gibbes on the Street’.
The sold out event featured culinary delights from Charleston’s top chefs, an open bar, and dancing in the middle of Meeting Street at the fourth annual street party. All proceeds benefited the Gibbes Museum of Art. Party-goers also experienced the unveiling of People’s Choice: A Community-Curated Exhibition!
PDA’s Eric Corriher and his crew spent a very short two hours turning a portion of Meeting Street into the ultimate party venue. The crew did a great job of getting a large amount of audio, lighting and video set-up for the 3 hour soiree. Check out the pictures below and our time lapse video: Gibbes on the Street IV!
Alpha Kappa Alpha Regional Conference took place this past weekend at the North Charleston Convention Center. This was a team effort between our Embassy Suites AV staff and the entire production team. The AKA Regional Conference had more than 4,000 attendees utilizing the entire convention space center for meetings and events. We provided audio along with conventional and intelligent lighting as well as two huge 30′x22′ screens with multiple stacked 18,000 Lumen projectors. The event was a success and we appreciate working with all of the AKA chapters.
